About Greater St. Louis Works
Smart, tech-savvy people who can create, compute, and problem-solve are among our region’s most vital economic assets. It’s no wonder that firms throughout Greater St. Louis have made Information Technology talent a top business priority.
Why? Because information technology is the 21st Century infrastructure that enables companies across all industry sectors to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and speed, and to play in all corners of the global marketplace. IT is only useful, however, when knowledgeable people are available to put it to work. Companies are always on the lookout for people who can innovate, anticipate, adjust, and manage in a fast-paced marketplace subject to fluctuating external conditions.
Does St. Louis have the workforce we need to compete in this environment? Will we be able to sustain our talent advantages in the future? More than 300 individuals from business, education, employment services, and government have come together through Greater St. Louis Works to make sure that we know how to get to “yes” on these important questions.
A public-private partnership, Greater St. Louis Works is administered by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association in partnership with WorkforceStLouis2.0, the IT Coalition of Innovate St. Louis, the Workforce Investment Boards of St. Louis County, the City of St. Louis, and St. Charles County, and other state and local partners. Funding has been provided through a grant to the St. Louis County Department of Human Service’s Division of Workforce Development by the Missouri Division of Workforce Development.
